Ali began her yoga practice with 8 Limbs back in 1998. She established a regular practice in 2001 and experienced the balance and quietude that comes from practicing yoga, daily. As such it was around this time that she felt called to pursue the teacher trainings that 8 Limbs offered. However, due to her commitments in the business world, she felt that she couldn’t offer the training the devotion it required but promised herself that one day she would return and make the path of yoga her sole focus. After closing her business in 2011, Ali and her husband took some time out and travelled Australia. This period of reflection and relaxation preceded Ali’s return to 8 Limbs in 2015. The time had come to fulfil on that promise, this time as a more mature woman with the intention of being of service to others. Ali re-established a regular practice and went on to complete the 200 hour 8 Limbs Teacher Training under the expert tutelage of Dr Monica Gauci and Gregor Maehle, followed by the 8 Limbs Mentorship program under the inspiring leadership of Carmela Lacey. She attends workshops regularly to continue deepening her knowledge, and loves the perpetual learning nature of the yogic path, absorbing as much pertinent information as possible. Relishing the joy that comes from working with students Ali comments that, “each class I teach offers so much opportunity for sharing which is very fulfilling. I feel honoured to be on this path; its like coming home. I want to offer students the loving support and expertise that has been offered to me by my devoted teachers which has been a constant source of enrichment in my life. I am so very grateful. Namaste.
